NameFusion FAQ'S

Q. Can I use the names that I generate with Namefusion for my business?
A. Yes, all names in the included database are meant for any use (personal or commercial). However, you should use the Name Checker to make sure someone is not already using that name. If you cannot find the name already listed in the Trademark or Copyright database of the government websites, and the domain is not "Taken", there is a good chance that the name is available to use as your own. Your next step is then to trademark or copyright it, and grab the domain name, if needed.

Q. Where can I find my saved project files and other program files?

A. Your saved files are located inside the "My Projects" folder of your computer's "My Documents" folder ("Documents" for Vista users).

Q. Is Logo Design Studio Pro available as a download?

A. Yes, but we recommend ordering the boxed version. Since all objects and templates were designed with high quality standards, the program fits on two CDs and is packed with over 1.5 Gigabytes of creative material. Due to the size of the program, downloading Logo Design Studio Pro is not recommended, but is an available option.

Q. What is the difference between the Name database and the Word database?

A. The Name database offers creative names that are unique from actual words that are already a part of our language and vocabulary. The Word database includes actual words that are a part of our language or vocabulary (for example, words that are found in dictionaries); many words are perfect to use in the name of your business, product, service or website because they usually cannot be trademarked/copyrighted by themselves. For example, you cannot trademark the word "blue", but could trademark the name "Blue Enterprises".

Q. How do I switch between the Name and Word databases?

A. Open "Search Options" in the main program window and choose the "Database Type" category. Here you can select between using the Name or the Word database during your searches in General Search, Industry Based Search and Name Attribute Search. Click the Apply button after your selection and start browsing through the selected database.

Q. What other database lists does NameFusion include?

A. NameFusion includes an extensive database of words. In the Reference folder you will find word lists of most words found in the bible, and also the words found in a variety of dictionaries. These lists are broken out alphabetically in order to reduce the size of the list.

Their are also lists of celestial/space/spiritual words, color words, mythological words, words commonly associated with nature, irregular and regular verbs, countries/cities/rivers/mountains/oceans of the world, states of the United States, United State cities and towns, industry based terms, and words associated with specific feelings, emotions and actions.

Q. Can I print my lists for review?

A. Yes, simply click the Print button located in the toolbar of the section you want to print (Name Previewer, Name Vault, etc.).
